Business Development Executive
As part of our continued expansion, we are looking to recruit and train a bright, motivated person to be an International Business Development Manager in our growing Business Development Team.
You will become and expert in forecasting and pricing (highly sought after skills) within the Pharmaceutical industry plus an expert on our cutting edge products. With this knowledge base you will develop relationships with senior executives in the pharma industry and become a solution provider for them.
If you are comforted by anonymity and lack of personal accountability that a large organization provides, this role is not for you.
Basic requirements:
- You should be educated to degree level or equivalent (life science or business - an MBA or additional marketing/business qualification might be helpful).
- An understanding or experience of the pharmaceutical market place, key disease areas, pharmaceutical product life cycle from clinical to commercial development, plus local health care systems would be an advantage.
- You should be computer literate having a working knowledge of Excel.
- You must be located - or prepared to locate - in the Thames Valley or West London.
- You must be able to commute to our offices in the Henley area.
- You must be prepared to travel throughout the UK, continental Europe and the United States.

- Able to influence key decision makers, in both group and individual situations.
- Able to convey complex information and concepts in 1:1 meetings, presentations (face to face or via web) or in writing.
- A skilled listener, able to ask questions to investigate and establish client needs and then to respond accordingly.
- A high contributing member of a small team who is comfortable exercising initiative in proposing product developments and working on new projects.
- Able to manage your time with great efficiency. Through the application of accurate systems/records you will be able to demonstrate your personal effectiveness and plans for your accounts.
- Able to think strategically which will allow you to predict and anticipate future client needs.
- You will be able to work as part of a team, sharing ideas and taking on board new ideas from others.
